About the role
The Integration Planning Manager supports acquisition and growth initiatives by coordinating due diligence activities and contributing to comprehensive integration planning. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely data collection from sellers, synthesizes inputs across teams, and supports Day 1 readiness and post-close integration execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Director of Internal Operations.

This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Raleigh, NC or Vienna, VA office, with an in-office requirement of two days per week.

You Will

  • Lead operational due diligence and integration planning for single-site and small multi-unit acquisitions.
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end diligence process across cross-functional teams, including HR, MVC, IT, Operations, and Finance.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed diligence checklists, timelines, and workplans to ensure on-time execution.
  • Track data requirements, follow up on outstanding or incomplete items, and proactively escalate risks or gaps as needed.
  • Analyze operational and practice-level data to identify risks, synergies, and considerations requiring additional integration planning.
  • Prepare clear, concise diligence summaries for cross-functional partners and field leadership to support informed decision-making and Day 1 readiness.
  • Partner with Practice Development to coordinate Welcome Meetings and close dates, ensuring adequate preparation time for functional and field teams.
  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of integration playbooks and Day 1 readiness checklists.
  • Partner closely with functional leads to align on requirements and support execution of Day 1 readiness activities.
  • Identify critical dependencies, risks, and potential challenges early in the diligence phase and incorporate mitigation strategies into integration plans.
  • Document diligence findings, planning decisions, and integration requirements in a centralized repository to ensure visibility and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with the Integration Experience Manager to ensure a seamless transition from diligence and planning into integration training and execution.
  • Prepare field leadership for Welcome Meetings with incoming teams by providing key insights and practice-specific information gathered during diligence.
  • Provide additional support as needed in a high growth organization.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management.
  • 5+ years of experience in operational due diligence, integration planning, project management, or a related role supporting acquisitions or complex operational initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Effective at partnering with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive outcomes.
  • Proactive in identifying risks or issues and escalating appropriately to support timely resolution.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple workstreams.
